I invented the 3D printing technique… To grow I “paint” an additional thin strip around the edge of my bi-valves, let it harden, then they are a bit wider and a bit deeper.
I’m also a dab hand with my feet… well, my foot. With it, I reach out and stick the end of a byssal thread, straight onto a surrounding rock… the other end is firmly attached to me. It dries pretty quick into a strong rope. A couple of these things in place allows me to be pounded by waves… but remain stuck-fast.
