As the Arctic ice sheet retreats due to the effect of greenhouse gasses causing global warming,

humans are finding they can get to areas, previously out of reach and exploit the oil reserves.

One example is Snow White gas facility, situated in the southern

area of the Arctic Ocean, in the Barents Sea.
Work began in 2002 with massive structures of concrete, pipelines, and management and security systems, all to

capture, exploit and convey the newly accessible area that contains a fossil fuel resource of gas estimated to last 30 years.

Here's the ironic bit.... burning this

fossil fuel will increase the greenhouse gasses, that will cause the Arctic ice sheet to retreat further, therefore allowing even newer reserves to be accessed -
.... to

be burned - which will produce more greenhouse gasses, which will cause the ice to retreat more, therefore allowing even newer reserves to be accessed -
.... to be

burned - which will ........etc etc
We as a human race on this planet are indeed truely un-stoppable!

All that is needed to be discovered about our true size

is:
Just how far we can go up our own backsides before nature passes wind and ends our arrogance for good.
