South East Marine Week 2006

South East Marine Week is an annual

celebration of the sea and marine life. It is co-ordinated by the Wildlife Trusts' South East Marine Programme.
There are typically 50-70 marine-themed events

around the region, both at the coast and inland, organised by 15-20 different organisations.
We're keen to welcome new event organisers/hosts for 2006, when the

event will have a particular focus on the need for marine protected areas (tying in with the development of the Marine Bill).

We can provide support, advice and

free promotional/hand-out materials (stickers, posters, bookmarks, banners, displays, a marine life film on DVD etc). This year we've opted for a two week period to give

organisers the best chance of a getting a good tide for seashore events.
