I watched the crab opening the mussel (on the website) and was amazed at a daily routine it went through. I seen studies

on territory, areas of habitation, types of food eaten etc...... but not seen the mundane and dynamic 'struggle to just survive' put so simply.
great info

thanks

All seems to be a trade of energy exchange on a daily basis.... did think the stealing of it was an intersting insight into the 'unfair' trials of life in

the wild.
cheers for comment... dont tell everyone though! Wink

Yes it was good to actually be able to watch it instead of just reading an explanation. The video clip allowed me to think as i was watching and it is

a continuous competition to survive and prosper.
It is something that is not easily seen just on a visit to the shore, even if regular.

Its not fair!!! the work it put in was stolen by the Blennys. Somehow it seems normal though in the wildlife that this goes on. It reminds me of the

Hyenas robbing the Lions after they make the effort of making the kill.
Just a thought

I see it as a biological market place, trading energy with a relentless mindset everytime there is an interaction, need, opportunity.

I know a few people with basic mindsets like that! haha.

It is true of the wildlife though, yes. Not just a

peaceful place to visit. If you live there, it is a survival struggle. For sure.

It is on the Sea Shore Antics cd, where it notices and points out the trading in energy

type of thinking.... simple but rarely heard people talking in these terms.... always eating to survive.... but it is obtaining energy to sustain the individual life process,

both in maintainance and in extra such as growth and reproduction.
This energy usually comes in the form of another individual life form 'loosing' out!
great mind

set on the cd, hope it rewards the source..... or maybe the ideas are just nicked by 'thieves' like the blennys did to the crab and its mussel meal.
Fun Life!
